TYPICAL PEDON: Atchuelinguk silt loam on a southwest facing linear, convex shoulder, on a slope of 55 percent at an elevation of 110 m (The soil was moist to 20 cm and wet, non-satiated from 20 to 30cm when described on August 25, 2019.)

Oi--0 to 9 cm; slightly decomposed plant material, dark grayish brown (10YR 4/2) dry, very dark brown (10YR 2/2) moist; many very fine and fine and common medium roots; extremely acid (pH 3.9); clear wavy boundary

Oe--9 to 20 cm; moderately decomposed plant material, brown (10YR 5/3) dry, dark brown (10YR 3/3) moist; many very fine and fine roots; extremely acid (pH 4.1); clear wavy boundary

Bw/Cjj--20 to 50 cm; very gravelly silt loam, 65 percent brown (10YR 5/3) and 25 percent dark gray (10YR 4/1) dry, 65 percent dark brown (10YR 3/3) and 25 percent black (10YR 2/1) moist; weak fine granular structure; friable, nonsticky, nonplastic; many very fine and common fine roots; common very fine and few fine irregular pores; 10 percent dark grayish brown (2.5Y 4/2) coarse irregular mottles; 5 percent gravel; very strongly acid (pH 4.8); clear smooth boundary
