A--0 to 10 cm; silt loam, pale brown (10YR 6/3) dry, dark brown (10YR 3/3) moist; moderate thick and medium platy structure; friable, slightly hard, nonsticky and nonplastic; common fine, medium, and coarse roots; neutral (pH 7.0); abrupt smooth boundary

Bw1--10 to 38 cm; silt loam, pale brown (10YR 6/3) dry, dark brown (10YR 3/3) moist; weak medium prismatic structure parting to moderate medium and fine subangular blocky; friable, slightly hard, nonsticky and nonplastic; common fine, medium, and coarse roots; slightly alkaline (pH 7.7); gradual smooth boundary

Bw2--38 to 66 cm; silt loam, brown (10YR 5/3) dry, brown (10YR 4/3) moist; weak medium prismatic structure; friable, slightly hard, nonsticky and nonplastic; common fine, medium, and coarse roots; slightly alkaline (pH 7.7); abrupt wavy boundary

Bk1--66 to 86 cm; silt loam, brown (10YR 5/3) dry, brown (10YR 4/3) moist; weak medium prismatic structure; friable, slightly hard, nonsticky and nonplastic; common fine, medium, and coarse roots; slightly effervescent, disseminated carbonates; slightly alkaline (pH 7.7); abrupt broken boundary

Bk2--86 to 112 cm; silt loam, brown (10YR 5/3) dry, brown (10YR 4/3) moist; massive; very friable, soft, nonsticky and nonplastic; common fine, medium, and coarse roots; violently effervescent, disseminated carbonates; strongly alkaline (pH 8.5); abrupt wavy boundary

R--112 to 127 cm; indurated basalt
