A1--0 to 15 cm; very dark grayish brown (10YR 3/2) gravelly silt loam, very dark brown (10YR 2/2) moist; moderate medium and fine subangular blocky structure parting to moderate medium and fine granular; slightly hard, very friable, slightly sticky and slightly plastic; many very fine and fine and few medium and coarse roots; common very fine and fine tubular pores; 20 percent gravel; neutral (pH 7.2); gradual wavy boundary

A2--15 to 36 cm; dark brown (10YR 3/3) very cobbly silt loam, very dark grayish brown (10YR 3/2) moist; moderate medium and fine subangular blocky structure parting to moderate medium and fine granular; slightly hard, very friable, slightly sticky and slightly plastic; many very fine and fine and few medium and coarse roots; common very fine and fine tubular pores; 10 percent gravel and 35 percent cobbles; neutral (pH 7.2); clear wavy boundary

Bt--36 to 53 cm; yellowish brown (10YR 5/4) very gravelly silt loam, brown (10YR 4/3) moist; common fine subangular blocky structure; hard, friable, slightly sticky and slightly plastic; many very fine and fine and few medium and coarse roots; common very fine tubular pores; common faint clay films on ped faces and lining tubular pores; 40 percent gravel and 15 percent cobbles; neutral (pH 7.2); abrupt smooth boundary

Bk1--53 to 81 cm; white (10YR 8/1) very cobbly silt loam, pale brown (10YR 6/3) moist; massive; slightly hard, friable, slightly sticky and slightly plastic; common very fine and fine and few medium and coarse roots; common very fine tubular pores; violently effervescent (40 percent calcium carbonate); finely disseminated calcium carbonate; 15 percent gravel and 35 percent cobbles; moderately alkaline (pH 8.0); gradual wavy boundary

Bk2--81 to 109 cm; white (10YR 8/1) extremely cobbly sandy loam, light gray (10YR 7/2) moist; massive; slightly hard, friable, nonsticky and slightly plastic; few very fine roots; few very fine tubular pores; violently effervescent (25 percent calcium carbonate); finely disseminated calcium carbonate; 30 percent gravel and 50 percent cobbles; moderately alkaline (pH 8.0); gradual wavy boundary

Bk3--109 to 152 cm; white (10YR 8/1) extremely cobbly sandy loam, pale brown (10YR 6/3) moist; massive; slightly hard, very friable, nonsticky and nonplastic; violently effervescent (10 percent calcium carbonate); finely disseminated calcium carbonate; 30 percent gravel and 55 percent cobbles; moderately alkaline (pH 8.0)
