TYPICAL PEDON: Nuna mucky peat on a linear, linear on a slope of 1 percent at an elevation of 55 m (The soil was moist from 0 to 15 cm, wet, nonsatiated from 15 to 80 cm and wet, satiated throughout the rest of the profile when described on June 24, 2016.)

Oe--0 to 15 cm; mucky peat, 50 percent brown (7.5YR 5/3) and 50 percent brown (7.5YR 5/4) dry, 50 percent dark brown (7.5YR 3/3) and 50 percent dark brown (7.5YR 3/4) moist; many very fine and medium, and common fine roots; extremely acid (pH 3.9); clear wavy boundary

Oa1--15 to 37 cm; stratified muck, 50 percent brown (7.5YR 4/2) and 50 percent brown (7.5YR 4/3) dry, 50 percent very dark brown (7.5YR 2.5/2) and 50 percent very dark brown (7.5YR 2.5/3) moist; common very fine and fine, and many medium roots; extremely acid (pH 3.8); clear smooth boundary

Oa2--37 to 85 cm; muck, brown (7.5YR 5/3) dry, dark brown (7.5YR 3/3) moist; common very fine, fine, and medium roots; extremely acid (pH 3.9); clear smooth boundary
