TYPICAL PEDON: Powerscreek sandy loam on a linear, convex rise, on a slope of 0 percent at an elevation of 25 m (The soil was moist from 0 to 140 cm and wet, non-satiated, from 140 to 150 cm when described on August 28, 2019.)

Oe--0 to 6 cm; moderately decomposed plant material, dark gray (10YR 4/1) dry, black (10YR 2/1) moist; many very fine, fine, and coarse and few medium roots throughout; extremely acid (pH 4.2); clear smooth boundary

A--6 to 12 cm; sandy loam, dark gray (7.5YR 4/1) dry, black (7.5YR 2.5/1) moist; weak coarse granular structure; friable, nonsticky, nonplastic; nonsmeary; many very fine and few fine roots throughout; extremely acid (pH 4.1); clear irregular boundary

Bhsjj--12 to 43 cm; sandy loam, 70 percent reddish brown (2.5YR 4/3) and 30 percent dark reddish gray (2.5YR 4/1) dry, 70 percent dark reddish brown (2.5YR 2.5/3) and 30 percent reddish black (2.5YR 2.5/1) moist; weak coarse subangular blocky structure; friable, nonsticky, nonplastic; nonsmeary; many very fine and common fine roots throughout; very strongly acid (pH 4.9); abrupt irregular boundary
