A--9 to 50 cm; medial sandy loam, yellowish brown (10YR 5/4) dry, dark yellowish brown (10YR 3/4) moist; weak medium granular structure; soft, very friable, slightly sticky and nonplastic; common very fine to medium roots; 3 percent cobbles; strongly acid (pH 5.5); clear smooth boundary

Bw--50 to 90 cm; medial silt loam, yellow (10YR 7/6) dry, yellowish brown (10YR 5/6) moist; moderate medium subangular blocky structure; slightly hard, friable, nonsticky and nonplastic; common very fine and fine roots; 8 percent medium irregular masses of oxidized iron, yellowish red (5YR 5/6) moist, clear boundaries in matrix; 3 percent cobbles; slightly acid (pH 6.1); clear smooth boundary

2C--90 to 150 cm; extremely gravelly coarse sand, gray (10YR 5/1) dry, very dark gray (10YR 3/1) moist; single grain; loose, nonsticky and nonplastic; 60 percent gravel and 10 percent cobbles; slightly acid (pH 6.3)
