AB--18 to 28 cm; clay loam, brown (10YR 5/3) dry, dark brown (7.5YR 3/2) moist; moderate medium subangular blocky structure; hard, friable, moderately sticky and moderately plastic; common fine roots; many fine and very fine tubular and irregular pores; 5 percent gravel; moderately acid (pH 5.8); gradual smooth boundary
