TYPICAL PEDON: Tricklake silt loam, forested, on a hillslope of 40 percent at an elevation of 50 m (When described on June 2, 2015, the soil was moist from the surface to a depth of 150 cm.)

Oe--0 to 4 cm; moderately decomposed plant material; neutral (pH 6.9); clear smooth boundary

A--4 to 22 cm; silt loam, dark gray (10YR 4/1) dry, black (10YR 2/1) moist; weak fine granular structure; soft, very friable, nonsticky and nonplastic; common fine roots throughout; many very fine and fine irregular pores; noneffervescent; slightly acid (pH 6.5); clear smooth boundary

Bw1--22 to 56 cm; fine sandy loam, dark gray (7.5YR 4/1) dry, black (7.5YR 2.5/1) moist; weak fine subangular blocky structure; soft, very friable, nonsticky and nonplastic; common fine roots throughout; many very fine and fine irregular pores; noneffervescent; slightly acid (pH 6.3); gradual smooth boundary

Bw2--56 to 150 cm; fine sandy loam, grayish brown (10YR 5/2) dry, very dark grayish brown (10YR 3/2) moist; 5 percent fine yellowish red (5YR 4/6) mottles; weak medium subangular blocky structure; soft, very friable, nonsticky and nonplastic; many very fine and common fine irregular pores; noneffervescent; slightly acid (pH 6.1)
