The mean annual precipitation is about 225 millimeters (9 inches) and the mean annual temperature is about 16.5 degrees C. (62 degrees F.)

(5 to 18 centimeters; 2 to 7 inches thick).

Btn1--15 to 48 centimeters (6 to 19 inches); grayish brown (10YR 5/2) very cobbly clay, very dark grayish brown (10YR 3/2) moist; moderate medium and coarse prismatic and strong fine and medium angular blocky structure; extremely hard, friable, very sticky and very plastic; common very fine and fine roots; common very fine tubular pores; common moderately thick clay films, few pressure faces; about 20 percent of peds coated with silans; 15 percent stones, 25 percent cobbles, and 10 percent gravel about 3 percent are rounded; SAR is 28; moderately alkaline (pH 8.0); clear wavy boundary. (25 to 38 centimeters; 10 to 15 inches thick)

Btn2--48 to 66 centimeters (19 to 26 inches); brown (10YR 5/3) very cobbly clay, dark brown (10YR 3/3) moist; strong medium and coarse prismatic structure; extremely hard, friable, very sticky and very plastic; common very fine roots; common very fine tubular pores; common faint clay films on ped faces, common pressure faces; 15 percent stones, 25 percent cobbles, and 10 percent gravel; SAR is 42; slightly acid (pH 6.5); gradual wavy boundary. (13 to 23 centimeters; 5 to 9 inches thick)

Btn3--66 to 107 centimeters (26 to 42 inches; brown (10YR 4/3) very cobbly clay, dark brown (10YR 3/3) moist; strong coarse prismatic structure; extremely hard, friable, very sticky and very plastic; few very fine roots; common very fine tubular pores; common pressure faces; SAR is 46; 15 percent stones, 30 percent cobbles and 10 percent gravel; slightly alkaline (pH 7.5); abrupt wavy boundary. (33 to 50 centimeters; 13 to 20 inches thick)

2Cn--107 to 152 centimeters (42 to 60 inches); light yellowish brown (10YR 6/4) extremely stony sandy loam; few very fine roots; 25 percent stones, 30 percent cobbles and 30 percent gravel; slightly alkaline (pH 7.5).
