A--0 to 13 cm; silt loam, brown (10YR 5/3) dry, dark brown (7.5YR 3/2) moist; moderate medium platy structure and strong fine granular; soft, very friable, nonsticky and nonplastic; many fine roots; common fine and very fine irregular pores; slightly acid (pH 6.3); clear wavy boundary

Bt1--13 to 25 cm; clay, brown (7.5YR 5/2) dry, dark brown (7.5YR 3/2) moist; moderate medium angular blocky structure parting to strong fine angular blocky; very hard, very firm, moderately sticky and very plastic; common fine roots; common very fine and few fine tubular pores; common distinct clay films on faces of peds and in openings of pores; 5 percent gravel; slightly acid (pH 6.5); clear wavy boundary

Bt2--25 to 36 cm; gravelly sandy clay loam, light brown (7.5YR 6/4) dry, brown (7.5YR 4/4) moist; moderate medium angular blocky structure parting to strong fine angular blocky; hard, very firm, moderately sticky and moderately plastic; few fine roots; common very fine and fine tubular pores; common prominent clay films on faces of peds and in openings of pores; 20 percent gravel; slightly acid (pH 6.5); abrupt smooth boundary

R--36 cm; basalt
