TYPICAL PEDON: Runkelscreek mucky peat on a linear, concave drainageway on a plain, on a slope of 1 percent at an elevation of 24 m (The soil was moist throughout when described on June 20, 2016.)

Oe1--0 to 20 cm; mucky peat, brown (7.5YR 5/4) dry, dark brown (7.5YR 3/4) moist; many very fine roots and common medium roots and common fine roots; moderately acid (pH 5.8); gradual smooth boundary

Oe2--20 to 60 cm; mucky peat, gray (2.5Y 5/1) dry, very dark gray (2.5Y 3/1) moist; many very fine roots and common fine roots; moderately acid (pH 5.8); clear smooth boundary

Cg--60 to 150 cm; silt loam, gray (2.5Y 5/1) dry, very dark gray (2.5Y 3/1) moist; massive; friable, nonsticky, slightly plastic; slightly acid (pH 6.2)
