Galveston County, TX; from the intersection of FM 3005 (San Luis Pass Road) and Indian Beach Drive, about 1.6 miles northwest and approximately 950 feet southwest of the western most tip of the break wall protecting Shell Island Point; USGS topographic quadrangle: Sea Isle, TX.

Additional Comments--Mineralogy based on amount of shell fragments observed. Tests to validate the sulfidic materials were not available at the time of the collection of these soils.
