Rock Fragment Content: 0 to 25 percent, by volume, in the horizons above the fragipan, 5 to 30 percent, by volume, in the fragipan, 5 to 80 percent, by volume, in the C horizon. Fragments are dominantly limestone and chert.

Hagerstown soils--occur on valley floors and adjacent hillslopes with better drainage.
Library soils--occur on similar landscape positions that are wetter.
Lowell soils--occur on ridges, saddles, and rounded knolls with better drainage where limestone bedrock is deep.
Millheim soils--occur on nearly level to moderately steep convex ridges and side slopes with better drainage, have more clay in the subsoil, and lack a fragipan.
Murrill soils--occur on similar landscape positions with better drainage and lack a fragipan.
Penlaw soils--occur on similar landscape positions that are wetter.
Thorndale soils--occur on similar landscape positions that are wetter.
