TYPICAL PEDON: Ekiligamut mucky peat in a concave depression of a tidal flat, on a slope of 0 percent at an elevation of 5 m (The soil was wet throughout the profile when described on July 26, 2013.)

Oe--0 to 110 cm; mucky peat, brown (10YR 5/3) dry, dark brown (10YR 3/3) moist; many very fine and fine roots; moderately acid (pH 5.8); gradual smooth boundary

Oa--110 to 132 cm; muck, grayish brown (10YR 5/2) dry, very dark grayish brown (10YR 3/2) moist; slightly acid (pH 6.1); abrupt smooth boundary

Cg--132 to 150 cm; silt, 90 percent gray (2.5Y 6/1) dry, dark gray (2.5Y 4/1) moist, and 10 percent brown (10YR 5/3) dry, dark brown (10YR 3/3) moist; massive; moderately hard, firm, slightly sticky and slightly plastic; slightly acid (pH 6.2)

TYPE LOCATION: Dillingham Census Area, Alaska, about 6 km north-northeast of the village of Togiak; latitude 59.1156885 degrees north, longitude 160.3297222 degrees west, datum WGS 84 (coordinates determined with a GPS)
