Bw--3 to 18 cm; fine sandy loam, light yellowish brown (10YR 6/4) dry, dark yellowish brown (10YR 4/4) moist; moderate medium subangular blocky structure; slightly hard, friable, nonsticky and nonplastic; common very fine, fine, medium, and coarse roots throughout; common very fine and fine irregular pores; 5 percent masses of oxidized iron, yellowish brown (10YR 5/6) moist; noneffervescent; neutral (pH 6.7); clear smooth boundary

C--18 to 35 cm; very fine sandy loam, pale yellow (2.5Y 7/3) dry, light olive brown (2.5Y 5/3) moist; massive; soft, very friable, nonsticky and nonplastic; common very fine, fine, and medium roots throughout; common very fine and fine irregular pores; 10 percent masses of reduced iron, olive gray (5Y 4/2) moist, and 15 percent masses of oxidized iron, dark yellowish brown (10YR 4/6) moist; strongly effervescent; moderately alkaline (pH 8.4); clear wavy boundary

2Cg1--35 to 58 cm; loamy sand, gray (2.5Y 5/1) dry, gray (N 5/0) moist; massive; soft, very friable, nonsticky and nonplastic; common fine and medium roots throughout; common very fine and fine irregular pores; strongly effervescent; moderately alkaline (pH 8.3); gradual wavy boundary

2Cg2--58 to 150 cm; coarse sand, gray (2.5Y 5/1) dry, dark gray (N 4/) moist; single grain; loose, nonsticky and nonplastic; few very fine and fine interstitial pores; slightly effervescent; moderately alkaline (pH 8.2)
