Oa--4 to 9 cm; muck; neutral (pH 6.8); abrupt smooth boundary

Cg1--9 to 40 cm; sand, gray (10YR 6/1) dry, dark gray (10YR 4/1) moist; single grain; loose, nonsticky and nonplastic; common fine and medium roots; common very fine and fine interstitial pores ; 5 percent gravel; slightly effervescent (HCL, 1N); moderately alkaline (pH 7.9); gradual smooth boundary

Cg2--40 to 60 cm; sand, grayish brown (2.5Y 5/2) dry, dark gray (N 4/0) moist; single grain; loose, nonsticky and nonplastic; common very fine and fine interstitial pores; 2 percent gravel; strongly effervescent (HCL, 1N); moderately alkaline (pH 8.3); diffuse smooth boundary

Cg3--60 to 150 cm; sand, grayish brown (2.5Y 5/2) dry, dark gray (N 4/0) moist; single grain; loose, nonsticky and nonplastic; common very fine and fine interstitial pores; 5 percent gravel; strongly effervescent (HCL, 1N); moderately alkaline (pH 8.3)
