The Poindexter series was formerly included in the Bremo series. Bremo soils are mesic. The June 2026 revision changed the format. No data was changed.

Diagnostic horizons and features recognized in this pedon are:
Ochric epipedon--the zone from 0 to 30 centimeters (0 to 12 inches) (A and E horizon)
Argillic horizon--the zone from 30 to 46 centimeters (12 to 18 inches) (the Bt horizon)

REVISED = 9/5/97 RLV. 5/28/02 DTA. 6/25/26 DTA

ADDITIONAL DATA: Chemical data for samples from the typifying pedon is available from the V.P.I. laboratory (identified as Wilkes, fine-loamy, Variant-1971).
