Cg1--8 to 25 cm; silt loam, gray (10YR 5/1) dry, dark gray (N 4/0) wet; weak medium subangular blocky structure; moderately hard, firm, slightly sticky and slightly plastic; common very fine, fine, medium, and coarse roots throughout; common very fine and fine irregular pores; 30 percent fine dark yellowish brown (10YR 4/4) masses of oxidized iron; moderately acid (pH 5.8); gradual smooth boundary

Cg2--25 to 58 cm; silt loam, dark gray (2.5Y 4/1) dry, gray (N 5/0) wet; weak medium subangular blocky structure; moderately hard, firm, slightly sticky and slightly plastic; common medium and fine roots; common very fine and fine irregular pores; 5 percent fine strong brown (7.5YR 4/6) masses of oxidized iron; slightly effervescent; moderately alkaline (pH 7.9); clear wavy boundary

2Cg1--58 to 100 cm; sand, gray (5Y 6/1) dry, gray (5Y 5/1) wet; massive; slightly hard, friable, nonsticky and nonplastic; common very fine irregular pores; strongly effervescent; moderately alkaline (pH 8.1); gradual wavy boundary

2Cg2--100 to 130 cm; fine sand, gray (5Y 6/1) dry, gray (5Y 5/1) wet; single grain; soft, very friable, nonsticky and nonplastic; 5 percent yellowish brown (10YR 5/6) masses of oxidized iron; few fine irregular pores; strongly effervescent; moderately alkaline (pH 8.1); diffuse wavy boundary

2Cg3--130 to 150 cm; sand, gray (5Y 6/1) dry, gray (5Y 5/1) wet; single grain; loose, nonsticky and nonplastic; 7 percent strong brown (7.5YR 4/6) masses of oxidized iron; few very fine irregular pores; violently effervescent; moderately alkaline (pH 8.3)
